Obscure Toy Lines! Name them!
« Thread started on: Oct 15th, 2009, 08:59am »
Let's start a thread dedicated to informing or reminding folks of some of the most obscure or forgotten toy lines! Theya re often myf avorite to colelct, and should make for a lot of fun to discuss!
Anyone remember these? I recently bought a MIB Beetlejuice playset, and inside was opne of those little catalogues from Kenner. Inside I found Shadow Strikers. Until that moment, I had completely forgotten they existed!
The line came out shortly after M.A.S.K., and was very similar. In fact, I think some of the figures are reused molds. The gimmick was that all of their vehicles were translucent, and each of the figures turned "invisible" when placed in warm water! A really cool little toy line!
I just purcahsed a MIB Phase 1 Converter, and should have it soon! You better believe that sucker is getting a review! Haha!
I actually discovered the line a few years after it originally came out, so I scored a ton of these at the Dollar Tree when I was 12. Some of them fetch a pretty penny on eBay nowadays.

Wow...Mega Force was going to be the next one I brought up! Crazy!! I loved those too, and for the life of me couldn't remember what they were alled until I got that little Kenner catalogue. They were in there too. Loved those!
And I also loved Army Ants! I had a ton when I was a kid. I've tried to pick some up over the last several years, but they always go for too much. But yeah, those were great!!
BattleTech http://www.virtualtoychest.com/b/battletech/battletech.html I remember these...always thought they looked neat...but never picked them up. (sorry for the neat comment...when these came out I was really into Mechwarrior games...lol)
